Our copper watering cans are made by hand in Japan. The Negishi company is one of the last surviving firms still crafting watering cans for bonsai. Okochi sanso is a superb garden that belonged to the Japanese movie star Ohkouchi Denjiro (1898-1962). He constructed a unique garden with a villa, south of Mount Ogura, over 30 years. The wild juniperus of Osezaki The wild juniperus of Osezaki 14 elements

For amateur juniper bonsaists a spectacular and unique place exists in Japan, Osezaki. This is located near Numazu city in Suruga Bay, 125km south of Tokyo, more commonly known as Biwa island. The reefs and marine life attract scuba divers and the area is popular for water sports. However, for tree enthusiasts on the shores there stand gigantic wild juniperus chinensis that are several hundred years old. These junipers are recognised as a national treasure and have intricate twisted and knotted trunks and branches. A temple gate marks the entrance to this spot.
