Description
Purple Thunder' is a recent introduction by American nurseryman Talon Buchholz, now available in Europe thanks to Guy Maillot.
This maple stands out for its spectacular foliage: its large, intensely purple leaves curve gracefully downward, giving the tree a unique and graphic appearance. The rich purple color is especially vibrant on the new growth in midsummer, bringing a dynamic touch to the garden.
In autumn, the foliage transforms into a brilliant scarlet red, offering a stunning display before the leaves fall.
