Description
Spring foliage emerges in a deep purple, almost black, with striking black veins that create a dramatic effect. During summer, the leaves darken further while the new growth appears in bright red. In autumn, the foliage turns vibrant shades of red and orange. The mature leaves are large, measuring approximately 5 to 8 cm wide.
One of the most beautiful varieties introduced in the past 15 years. Unique for its vigor and robustness, it tolerates full sun but displays more intense colors in partial shade. This selection comes from Talon Buchholz in Oregon, USA.
Another personal favorite for its strength and vibrant colors — a true delight for every gardener. Now introduced in Europe by Guy Maillot.
